We have been undertaking the replacement of Filter Drain works for ‘Celtic Road Group’ (CRG), for the past number of years. 

We were awarded this contract, based upon detailed tender evaluation of costs, safety documentation, our proposed method of works, our quality control procedures and our previous experiences in civil maintenance works. 

Celtic Roads Group has three PP road concessions throughout Ireland as follows:

• Celtic Roads (Dundalk) Ltd. – M1 Motorway in Dundalk between the Dublin and Belfast which includes 53 Km of Motorway.
• Celtic Roads (Waterford) Ltd. – N25 Waterford Bypass including 21.5 Km of dual Carriageway.
• Celtic Roads (Portlaoise) Ltd. – M7/M8 Portlaoise including 43 Km of Motorway.

Description of works:

Over the past number of years we have been carrying out the replacement of over 20Km of the French Drainage / Filter Drainage systems on the M1 motorway. We will continue with these works in 2014. The works are located on the hard shoulder and the median and involve detailed traffic management to ensure safety.  We will continue to work closely with CRG on all future works.

Standards: 

All works are in Accordance with the NRA Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (NRA DMRB).

Traffic Management:

All our the Traffic Management provisions, conform with the latest Chapter 8, Traffic Management requirements for both hard shoulder and central median drain replacement works.

Material Disposal:

We insure the safe proper disposal of all materials together with the appropriate certification, insurance and waste management licenses - copies are held in our records and are available for inspection.
